Ghost is a 19 year old, 16 hand, 1000 pound
registered grey Thoroughbred gelding. His donor
reports that he likes people, has good manners, a
good temperament, respect handler’s space, loads, is
quiet in his stall, lunges on line, cross ties,
clips, bathes, good with other horses, leads
quietly, can catch in open field and good with
children. Ghost is currently being ridden under
English.
Ghost is also good for both the vet and farrier and
is current on vaccinations, and dental care. His
donor states that he does have 2 old set bows in
both front legs which occurred when he was 4 years
old. He is sound and this does not effect his riding
ability at all. He has no girthing, saddling or
bridling issues. He also does have arthritis, but is
currently being given a joint supplement.
He
currently is being ridden 2 to 3 times a week. His
experience includes 4 years of racing, 4 years of
Eventing, 5 years of fox hunting, trail riding,
paper chases and hunter shows. The professions his
donor feels he is able to do are English pleasure,
trail riding, Huntseat on the flat, low level
jumping, low level dressage, fox hunting or a
lesson/school horse. He is herd bound and does do
lots of whinnying when left alone.
The recommended level of handler on the ground is
beginner. The recommended level of rider is
beginner.
Ghost sounds like he would be the perfect mount for
a child moving up to a larger horse or even a
beginning adult looking for a trusting mount. He has
worked hard for most of his life and now needs to
find a special someone who can truly appreciate him
for who he is and someone who is willing to pamper
and spoil him as he has been accustomed to his whole
life! More information is available to approved
adopters. If interested in Ghost, please fill out an
adoption application today!
Best traits: He will jump anything that he is
pointed at, despite rider ability.
